The Specialized Female Outpatient Program offers trauma-informed and gender-specific substance use treatment services for adult women in Webb County. The program addresses the impact of trauma that women usually experience, especially sexual and domestic violence. Services also focus on parenting, relationships and reproductive health as well as reducing the risk of contracting HIV, Hepatitis and other diseases. Additionally, the program addresses the ongoing recovery of women through peer coaching and engagement in the recovery community. The program implements a strength-based approach and it is culturally-informed providing services in English and Spanish.
