About

The Rural Border Intervention (RBI) Program is designed to provide substance use intervention services to youth and adults in remote rural border areas to increase access to substance use, mental health, and medical services. The RBI Program focus on providing comprehensive services by directly delivering services to participants as well as linking participants with available resources in Dimmit, Maverick, Uvalde, Val Verde, and Zavala Counties.

To encourage bonding with peers, family, and community to help prevent drug use.

Motivational Interventions

To provide adolescents and adults with evidence-based interventions who are in need of, but are not able or ready to enter, substance abuse treatment services or to adolescents and adults at high risk of developing substance abuse problems.

To ensure that participants are provided with information and resources to access support services.
