About

Project HOPES (Healthy Outcomes Through Prevention and Early Support) focuses its provision of services on adult or adolescent primary caregivers with children 0-5 years of age or to a primary caregiver that is expecting a child identified as having at least two (2) high risk indicators for child abuse and/or neglect. Project HOPES Program uses the SafeCare Curriculum, which is strength-based and emphasizes improving positive parent-child interactions, improved health decision-making, and parental supervision of children. Project HOPES II provides services in Maverick and Val Verde Counties.

Curriculum-Based Education

Project HOPES II uses the SafeCare curriculum to educate caregivers on three modules: Parent-Child Interaction, Safety, and Health. The skills learned in these modules will help keep children healthy and safe

Case Management              

Staff uses assertive case management to meet the comprehensive needs of families. As needs are identified, referrals are made to community agencies that can meet the needs of caregivers and their children.
