SCAN has two (2) Family Resource Centers. A family resource center (FRC) is a community welcoming hub of support, services, social connections, and opportunities for families. The FRCs aim to enhance families’ abilities to be strong, healthy, and successful, and they have been designed to meet the unique needs of families in Webb and Maverick counties. The FRCs strive to foster the healthy development of families with young children and ensure that services meet the families’ cultural and language needs. The FRCs integrate several of SCAN’s existing resources with new services to assemble an integrated array of supports, services, and social connections to meet the comprehensive needs of families with young children.
