Drop-In Center Program

About

Funded by the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA), SCAN’s Drop-In Center Program has been designed to work with the recovery community in Webb County and other stakeholders to implement and sustain peer oriented recovery services as well as harm reduction services for adolescents (13-17) and adults (18 and over) who desire to reduce their risk of harm related to substance use and/or are seeking to initiate substance use treatment services, including medication assisted recovery. The Drop-In Center Program is open 24 hours a day/7 days a week to meet the needs of program participants and seeks to enhance available substance abuse treatment services by promoting recovery, reducing relapse, and intervening early when relapse occurs.
