
Description:
The Specialized Female Outpatient Program offers trauma-informed and gender specific, community-based substance abuse treatment services for adult women who are pregnant or have dependent children (including women whose children are in custody of the state). The program provides evidence-based curriculums, such as Matrix and Seeking Safety, offering an integrated trauma and substance abuse treatment. Counseling services include addressing gender-specific issues such as relationships, experience of traumatic events (sexual or physical abuse), parenting education, as well as case management to include reproductive health education and care. The program implements a strength-based approach and it is culturally-informed, providing services in English and Spanish.
Services/Activities:
The program provides individual, group, and family counseling sessions, case management, parenting classes, family education session, reproductive health education, home visits, random drug screening, HIV testing services, referral and follow-up.
