Description:
The Serenidad Border Infrastructure Development Project strengthens the service infrastructure in Webb County by closing the service gaps and redefines the services systems to establish a Recovery Oriented System of Care (ROSC). This ROSC integrates formal and informal support systems that can provide individualized recovery opportunities to residents of this area of the Texas-Mexico border. The project demonstrates a community-based response to the present gaps in service by enhancing existing services and harnessing community involvement towards the development of a Recovery Oriented System of Care. The project has residential and outpatient components, that along with other community services, provide a comprehensive approach to treatment that enhances and supports recovery opportunities.
