RGV Youth Recovery Home opened its doors in August of 2008. It is located in San Benito, Texas and is a 16 bed residential facility providing treatment services for adolescent males, ages 13-17, who are seeking recovery from their dependency on alcohol and/or drugs. RGV YRH provides both intensive and supportive counseling services. Our trained staff consist of Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors and Youth Care Workers whose main goal is the well- being and success of the clients who enter into the program. The program also provides a full-time cook to prepare home cooked meals for the clients.
Services/Activities:
Our counseling staff provides group, individual and family counseling based on a client’s individual treatment plan. Client cases are staffed on a weekly basis to assess progress. Clients receive daily classroom instruction in a structured school setting. This is provided at an off-site TEA approved campus. Additional services are provided in the areas of: Coping Skills, Relapse Prevention, Gang Intervention, Introduction to Peer Support Group Network, Health and Social Awareness and participation in a positive Social Youth Group.
Recreational activities and a computer lab are also available for clients. Family Visitation is scheduled on weekends.
