Description:
The Border Traumatic Stress Response Center focused on several local, regional, state and national strategies. Locally, SCAN focuses on the provision of trauma-focused treatment for children and adolescents of all ages and on developing local systems of care that are trauma-informed.  The Program also focuses on integration of trauma and substance abuse treatment in SCAN’s adolescent residential programs. Regionally and at the state level, the project also focuses on impacting the protective and mental health systems by creating trauma-informed systems and disseminating best practices and products.
